SUBMISSION OF NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN PROPOSAL
Brackenfield Parish Council has submitted a Neighbourhood Plan proposal under the Town and Country Planning Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (reg. 15). The Plan sets out a vision for the Brackenfield Parish and establishes the type of development needed to help sustain the community. All responses must be received no later than 5pm on Friday 12th April 2019. Please title your response 'Brackenfield Neighbourhood Plan: Submission Draft' and where possible refer to specific paragraphs or policies on which you are commenting.
The Plan proposal has been submitted with a selection of documents and is supported by evidence used in the preparation of the Plan. These are available via the above web sites. The District Council has determined that the legal requirements of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations are complied with. It has also confirmed that the Plan does not require an Environmental Assessment or a Habitats Regulation Assessment, in accordance with the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004.
Following the consultation period the Plan will be examined by an independent Examiner, who will report to the District Council, following which they will decide what action to take and whether to go forward to 'make' the Neighbourhood Plan part of the development plan for the District.

We have recently finalised the pre-submission draft version of the Brackenfield Neighbourhood Plan. This Plan covers the area formally designated in June 2017 and covers the area of Brackenfield Parish, with the exception of a small area of land adjacent to the settlement of Wessington.
As part of this process, the Parish Council is required under Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, to bring the draft Plan to the attention of people who live, work or carry on business in the Plan area. More »
There will be a consultation period during which you can respond, commencing on 25th September 2018 and closing on 16th November 2018. A copy of the Regulation 14 Response Form can be downloaded from the link below. Completed forms can be emailed to email@example.com or posted to Martin Philips, Holly Cottage, Church Lane, Brackenfield, Alfreton, DE55 6AQ.
